I can understand your comments about Farke being one dimensional and lacking in game management, but this is just bizarre. If there's one thing Farke is good at, it's progressing our youth. We've just sold 3 of em for well over £100m.Sid wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2024 12:36 pmExperience v Youth? you’d think farke would be coaching that into him but not sure he will.Yeboahs left foot wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2024 11:43 am Not gunna lie, I don’t see this hype with Joseph at all. He waves his fist at the crowd and folk think he’s the second coming. His first touch is poor bar one yesterday. If we have to rely on him for season we will struggle. Bamford does the press and bullies defenders more and better.

Wouldn’t say he was very good yesterday. A decent strikers goal and odd time link up play but other than that... Not consistent enough. Yesterday he messed up and he was applauded. V WBA, he was absolutely shocking. He had plenty of service but his control was equally has bad. I’ve made a point of watching him due to the hype and I honestly don’t see it. He might come good but for a team challenging he’s no where near ready. He’s a barardi/hughes type fan favourite because he’ll Leeds salute.Rick wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2024 2:27 pmI'm surprised you think this tbh. Was decent v Portsmouth. Quiet v West Brom with no service. Top drawer v Sheff Wed.Yeboahs left foot wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2024 11:43 am Not gunna lie, I don’t see this hype with Joseph at all. Yesterday he was very good imo. Played a part in both goals. Trapped one dead on the edge of the box to play Aaronson in first half. Closed down defenders. Made great runs.
That's 3 goal contributions in 4 so far and he's worked tirelessly throughout.
I love Paddy but I think we've finally found someone who can do the same job who is actually going to be available most games (touch wood).
Hope he proves me wrong but his career will be Spanish second division or teams like Barnsley, Oxford and Charltons of this world.

Fair enough pal. I shall die on this hill. My body lifeless as I mutter "the Spanish Mbappe" with my last breath and finally succum to the elements.Yeboahs left foot wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2024 2:49 pm

Our youth? You mean bought in youth that he had to play because he had no one else really, He hardly progressed them. Only AG was home grown the others including little willy were Orta punts. Plescop kid an expensive one at that.Rick wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2024 2:42 pmI can understand your comments about Farke being one dimensional and lacking in game management, but this is just bizarre. I don't see the relevance of whether they were home grown or not mate, none of em had even met him before regardless. They were young players at his disposal and they flourished under him. Maybe they'd have flourished under anyone at this level, who knows. But I'll give him some credit for it.Sid wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2024 4:19 pmOur youth? I don’t personally think he did much at all to develop any of them other than playing them which i believe was more forced on him than anything. Necessity more than intuition if you like. I don’t think farke deserves much if any credit from a coaching point if i’m honest, he’s so fucking negative i reckon he is actually holding some players back not bringing them on.Rick wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2024 4:32 pmI don't see the relevance of whether they were home grown or not mate, none of em had even met him before regardless. As i say just my opinion, Perhaps a bit harsh as you say but i blame farke fully for last years failure as you know. I really don’t get him at all.Rick wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2024 5:10 pmBit harsh that.
