Plus after our next match we'll have played most of the automatic and playoff favourites in our first 10 games. A very tough start.
It was the park the bus lesser teams we fucked up against last year. Just can’t tell with farkeball what we will do.
It’s nothing new Sid. Bielsa faced the same problems and we didn’t always break down those teams under him. I get it. You don’t like Farke. But not everything has to circle back to him.
He’s the guy in charge, Friday night we should have been out of sight but we went back to defensive mode instead of killing it off. Only one bloke dishing out the orders.
All i was saying though was that last term we performed better against the better teams but came unstuck v lesser teams who parked the bus. I also said we never know what we will get with Farke.
Whichever way you look at it, he’s comfortably in the top 2 managers we’ve had over the last 12 or so years. Maybe this century. No one ever offers a credible or viable alternative to him. Only the flavour of the week which usually goes up in smoke with a fortnight. It is what it is.
And for me, Friday night was as good an away performance (given circumstances) as we’ve had, let down by 1 error in injury time. I’d have taken a point before kick off.

I don’t dispute much of that, fact still remains that we should have pushed on to kill them off, as so often is the case we seemed to double down, It’s my biggest issue with farke, We could be so much better but for his negative tactics. I’m sure he’s a nice guy etc, i just find him so frustrating due to his refusal to use the assets at hand to their full potential. This i believe is his big failing and is why he’ll never be a top coach.

Why should we? First half they caused us problems. They created nothing after we went ahead. He was a Meslier blunder away from being roundly vindicated.
The tweaks he's made this season have us in the top 2 for chance creation and top 2 for restricting opposition chances. By those metrics I hope he continues doing what he's doing as logic suggests it will pay off over 46 games. If we conceded chances when defending leads I'd have issue, but we never do (so far) so I'm not that bothered by it at the moment.
I have no attachment to this guy but blaming him for last night makes no sense to me.

It’s basic logic, 1 goal lead is never a safe lead, we still have one of the best squads in league, i feel he just doesn’t make the best of its attributes.
I’m not talking specifically Friday night but it’s a prime example of us failing to put the game to bed. It cost us last year and is already costing us this year. Meslier fucked up but we should have been out of sight, we weren’t and dropped 2 points due to it. Pretty clear imo.

Why should we have been out of sight? That first half could've gone either way. If we'd have gone for the third and left ourselves open and conceded, what would your outlook have been?
It's OK saying we have one of the best squads, but how many are fit? Not sure Rothwell, Tanaka etc. are so superior to Bellingham and Rigg etc. that we should be expecting to be out of sight. Most of us didn't even know what to expect from our new-look midfield, though they did very well.
I get you have issues with Farke in general, I'm sure we all have our gripes with him, but you are making specific claims about the match on Friday.

Just how i saw it, we got in front and imo went too defensive, i’m a great believer in that best form of defense is attack. Imo we sat back and got suckered, they were totally out of ideas and were there for the taking. We do it far too often generally. Just my opinion, like aresholes, everyone has got one.
