I don't get the Plymouth/Rooney thing either. What's the point using his name to raise your club's profile if it's going to result in relegation?
He's a cunt. Why would you want to be associated with him to raise your profile.
Maybe Americans liked him.
He's not suited to management in the slightest. Sky presenters can't even carry a conversation with him so fuck knows how he's gonna inspire an entire dressing room.
The whole City thing. The charges against. City’s action against the PL. The clubs against. The clubs backing City. All boils down to what’s seen as fair competition.

Lot of a mess. Tbh I think it needs ripping up and start again. I don’t think the financial rules that were introduced years back to stop clubs getting saddled with debt, etc are fit for purpose anymore.

Villa, Chelsea, Newcastle, Forest, Leicester & Everton all have to sell players before end of month to comply with P&S rules.
Is that not their fault though, rather than the rules?
I don't know much about this stuff. Regarding Man City I guess funnelling money into the club via inflated sponsorship deals is not in the interest of fair competition. I assume those backing City will be mega rich clubs who want to do the same. City suing is a bold move. Summats gotta give. Maybe there needs to be a panel that assesses sponsorship deals. Dunno.
