They played into our hands no doubt but we were more up for it than them anyway. First to every second ball, a yard sharper all over the pitch. Didn't even have a shot on target we closed them off so relentlessly.

They sat back to a point, perhaps not as much as Sunderland or Cov but big difference for me was we moved forward with a bit more speed, ( still not quick enough imo) but didn’t give them the time to regroup and get 11 back behind the ball.

Yep some of our counters were 3 touches from box to box. Very fast and very efficient. Probably best I've seen this season. Their fullbacks pushing forward way too much helped. Dan James had freedom of that right wing during periods of the first half. Clarke had no help with Summerville on the other side either.

They have had similar space all season, we just have not gone forward fast enough to expose the defense most games. Exactly the point i’ve been making, we have been so slow going forward the defenders have too much time to get back and cover in numbers. For me, that and Piroe have been main issues, Piroe even though did well today for me is still wasted. Fast wingers need a target, we don’t have a target, that’s why we get James blazing over or wide and Jimmy turning back so often

Only disappointment ( and i say that lightly) is you would think those coming on as subs would want to make more on an impression, a claim for a starting spot. Firpo just needs fuckin off. Joesph did ok. Rest were just bang average.
Gnonto didn't do bad hopefully him and Firpo fuck of in January. Loan a left back on and we'll be flying.
Wouldn’t get yer willy out 🙃

He seems to be really in with Jimmy, i’d keep him, top back up.
I’d have Joseph over any of the sub alternatives as well, firpo just needs putting out of our misery.
Few others, in fact most of them are done here, time to clear the decks.
Feel better tonight than have after last few games, right attitude means more than the results if i’m honest.
Merry xmas Ladies.
Anthony good enough back up for Gnonto.
Rumours Harrison and Adams coming back in January.
Be interesting if they don't go straight out on loan again.
Merry Christmas one and all.

Yeboahs left foot wrote: Sat Dec 23, 2023 5:39 pm Was good today. Spence seems to have worked out playing left back and teamed up well with Summerville. Gray did excellent again. Ampadu best game for us, Piroe was excellent in the space and Rutter played best game for a few games, probably needed that did lad. They were whiney fuckers, especially 10 and 7. I’ll have one negative tho, Mesliers distribution was shocking, probably worse this season. Doesn’t look comfortable with ball at his feet at all.
Illan passed 4 out into touch, under little pressure. Rediculous at any level.

Aye front 4 was class. Makes a huge difference when Rutter is on it. Piroe's shooting was deadly. Summerville was Summerville, our most consistent player. James ran his socks off as per.
He and a few others didn't take into account the strong wind.
Ipswich could and should have ended with 10 men, especially the one who took Archie out.

Christ. How come? Are they all out of favour and reckon it's in their best interest to help us over the line for promotion or summat? I haven't really been following the loans.
