One dimensional? Yesterday we played possession based from back, tippy tappy up front, direct from middle and long ball a couple of times from back. We have also taken 19 points out of the available 21.

Perhaps i should rephrase it, predictable is another term i would use. Teams are working us out. Not convinved tbh. Don’t get me wrong pleased with results, think we need something in Jan to change things about. Meslier was more my subject of post, incredible that at his height he can’t catch a ball. Play offs with what we have, need just a little more.Yeboahs left foot wrote: ↑Sun Dec 10, 2023 1:10 pmOne dimensional? Front 4 fully agree, rest is imo lacking the ability to change things about, hate the tippy tappy out from keeper, accidents waiting to happen. Need more of the defence splitting balls ala Ampadu other week.Rick wrote: ↑Sun Dec 10, 2023 12:38 pmHe's just too lightweight to muscle through crowds to catch it. Most of the time he drops it once there's contact, hence constant punching. It will always hold him back imo.
Thought we did use the high press more sparingly yesterday and were more solid as a result. Restricted Blackburn to 1 chance, from a corner, whilst creating enough ourselves to win it. Not sure how one dimensional we are (I'm more emotional than analytical when it comes to football) but our front 4 have over 45 direct goal contributions between them in 20 games. If we are one dimensional it's working. Would be top 2 any other year.

I called Meslier out a couple of years back and got pelters for it on old forum. He is good at one on ones but lacking at literally everything else. His distribution, command of 6 yard box, his inability to catch or punch, even picking the right action is just not good enough for what we are. It all starts from him. How many times has he been beaten at his near post? His communication is poor too.Sid wrote: ↑Sun Dec 10, 2023 5:36 pmPerhaps i should rephrase it, predictable is another term i would use. Statistically hes one of the worst keepers in the league
Re: Zebbys Leeds United General discussion
Think we have to question the coaching tbh, front post he’s dire, 11 foot tall but couldn’t catch a cold. Pretty sure he was far more competent under Bielsa originally? And this tap tap out from the back is just dangerous ( not to mention like watching paint dry). Lot seems to have gone from his game, i put a lot of it originally down to confidence but starting to think much more wrong somewhere.Yeboahs left foot wrote: ↑Sun Dec 10, 2023 10:40 pmI called Meslier out a couple of years back and got pelters for it on old forum. Quite a few European managers encourage keepers to punch the ball so hopefully a quick attack can be started, I love him btw

No getting away from that one unfortunately. Possibly why no bids for him in the summer.Yeboahs left foot wrote: ↑Sun Dec 10, 2023 10:41 pm Statistically hes one of the worst keepers in the league

Rotherham was a classic example of a team packing it's defence. Rutter can sometimes do it but we need that player who can conjure something against these teams, Chair from QPR would be excellent.
In other news, Hay saying we are looking at a LB.
Farke not likely to bring Helje into the first team by the sound of it.
