I know this is complete bias but I've always felt like Jesse was just lucky and it was the likes of Bamford, Harrison, Cooper, Kalvin, Klichy etc who learnt how to really play under Marcelo that kept us up.

Jesse then spent the next 12months trying his best to undo everything Bielsa taught them, and now if Javi does keep us up, he will have truly saved us and deserves huge credit.

There was a few wide shots on the coverage today where Sinisterra and Jackie were as wide as the pitch would let them be and I just kept thinking 'Jesse Marsch you fucking retard'

You're probably right. He had a full preseason to implement his tactics and a stronger squad and somehow made us worse than we were when he first came in (and his footy was terrible even then). Plus he took us to the last day favourites for the drop. Could've gone either way that day. Skin of teeth job.

Javi will have us finishing 12th this season. No danger, no drama. So refreshing seeing these players playing to their strengths.

And there we see the difference, An understanding of the Game and it’s tactics. I know we lost to the arse but look at the difference in the set ups, chalk and cheese. I think we'd be daft not to. Thing about Javi is he never underperforms. His previous roles have ranged from ok to good considering what he's had to work with. Our squad is 2 or 3 quality signings away from being light years ahead of any promoted sides in the coming seasons.

Why take a risk rolling a 6 when you've already rolled a 4? Especially with how turbulent the last couple of seasons have been. Need to finally consolidate imo.
