We were very good on Monday, less good today.

Hope you're right but I don't think Piroe is mobile enough or strong enough to occupy the centre half pair, James doesn't seem as comfortable playing narrower and Bogle seems to have lost half his game (whether that's the shape or fitness who knows).
Bogle isn't 100% fit yet. He's definitely not running up and down the wing as much as normal.nzstevo wrote: ↑Sat Aug 23, 2025 8:50 pmHope you're right but I don't think Piroe is mobile enough or strong enough to occupy the centre half pair, James doesn't seem as comfortable playing narrower and Bogle seems to have lost half his game (whether that's the shape or fitness who knows).
Whilst we were dominant against a very shite Everton we created very little
Think Piroe would suit someone in front of him, some big strong bastard.Begbie wrote: ↑Sat Aug 23, 2025 9:00 pmBogle isn't 100% fit yet. I put him in the same bracket as Piroe though, it's up to others to bring out the best in him...
James doesn't need to play narrow and in fact he should definitely not do as we need him as a potential out ball. With three central midfielders he should be hugging the line otherwise it's verging on Marsch-ball.
Piroe is a goalscorer, a goalscorer, a goalscorer.
I don't remember asking Lee Chapman or Mark Viduka to do anything other than that, and they didn't...
I (blindly or otherwise) believe that's he's able to be just like those two. I don't care about the rest of the park.
With Piroe in mind though I think that it's possibly worth considering a Nmecha or Calvert-Lewin instead of Or alongside in away games versus dominant teams like Arsenal...
I'm not against that.Yeboahs left foot wrote: ↑Sat Aug 23, 2025 9:37 pmThink Piroe would suit someone in front of him, some big strong bastard.Begbie wrote: ↑Sat Aug 23, 2025 9:00 pmBogle isn't 100% fit yet. Have to be honest i expected 4 by half time, 5or 6 i was expecting.Hampshirewhites wrote: ↑Sat Aug 23, 2025 7:41 pm Piroe was very poor Sid.
Gruev passed straight to them for the first and also on the line watching 2 two go in.
Gudmundsson wasn't brilliant either.
Wasn't expecting anything but 5 hurt. On wards to Newcastle.
No doubt he can finish, he is just so frustrating, i worry he’s just not quick enough to get onto the end of balls, the prem is another couple of gears up again speed wise.Yeboahs left foot wrote: ↑Sat Aug 23, 2025 9:37 pmThink Piroe would suit someone in front of him, some big strong bastard.Begbie wrote: ↑Sat Aug 23, 2025 9:00 pmBogle isn't 100% fit yet. Perri looked a bit like Meslier at times. Gudmundsson wasn't great either.Fev wrote: ↑Sun Aug 24, 2025 11:10 am Piroe didn't get the ball first half, cant score if they don't pass to him, if you want a ball holding forward, we have one, one were trying to get rid of, but we have one and should have had him in the squad just in case, we didn't. Also after the Everton game i was a tad concerned but after yesterday i was even more concerned with the keeper, that man has some fuck ups in his locker and no one is mentioning it
