MDT Rotherham v Leeds

Post by Rick »

All eyes on the line up.

Hoping Rodon, James and Ampadu start. Farke calls em tough bastards so let's see.

Rutter is supposedly a doubt so he'll probably go with Bamford. Though I do like the idea of Gnonto coming in and Summerville in behind Piroe. Fuck knows.

Edit. Rutter starts. Team unchanged other than Firpo coming in.

Sorry but just lacking with the tactics. No ambition.

Second half we ran out of ideas. Should've scored more in the first half. Went clean through 3 times and missed all 3. Piroe was shite. Missed Byram's intelligence on the left wing. Firpo just passes backwards and has no link up play.

Piroe is out of position, ineffective where farke has him playing. Sorry but the cry baby Schwartz or what ever he was called is just wrong. Really too negative in a southgate type of way. Should hammer teams like that but farke seems unable to see the way past shite teams.

Fucked that. Should have buried them. Cooper way too slow in build up to their equaliser after Ampadu lost possession. Did redeem himself by goal line clearance early in 2nd half but Struijk has surpassed him now.
Wouldn’t have mattered if we could finish our dinner though. Something that’s becoming symptomatic of our season. Not converting our chances.

Yep, not just missing good chances we also seem to miss the target a lot generally. 5 on target tonight from 18 shots is shite. And when we do get em on target many seem to be pearollers. Seems to have been like that all season. If our finishing is up to standard on any given week we'll batter whoever we're playing, and we create so much generally we still pick up many wins regardless. But tonight it really bit us on the arse. Needs to improve.

Interesting comment I heard last night, not checked it.
We only win in the white kit.
Obviously shouldn't matter but strange. We need a player who can break down an organised defence.
Rutter is fine doing it but last night wasn't at his best. Poveda needs dropping and as for Firpo.
Should of had a penalty for the tackle on James too.
A few problems need addressing in January.
Big opportunity last night to put pressure on teams around us but we blew it.
