LUFC Summer Transfer Rumour Thread 2025
Re: LUFC Summer Transfer Rumour Thread 2025
Can't believe it's September and I'm wanting us to start Jack fuckin Harrison. Just think he's slightly better than Gnonto. In the same way I'd rather smooch Peggy Mitchell than Pat Butcher.

Rather uninspiring that. Not first time either. Odd to not protect investment
Re: LUFC Summer Transfer Rumour Thread 2025
We don't really have a pot to piss in as we never sold anyone of note.
The likes of Kieran Maguire said months ago that we had £100 million to spend and that's what we did. In the areas that needed it most.
Could maybe have done more freebies or loans but generally that's someone's else junk.
We'll be right.
Choose life.

I think the squad was pretty much complete for the 433 (in terms of positional depth). 4 wingers competing for 2 positions (like last season). 3 strikers competing for 1 position (like last season). More midfielders this time as we're playing with 3 instead of 2. 2 players for each position in defence.Begbie wrote: ↑Tue Sep 02, 2025 9:18 amWe don't really have a pot to piss in as we never sold anyone of note.

The only thing that is a tad odd is how strongly Farke stressed the need for incomings on the final day. He will have known that there was nothing left in the pot, would be loans or nothing, which makes his rather dramatic rhetoric about "not waving the white flag" a bit odd.
I think Farke was primarily concerned with having someone in for when he wants to switch to a 4231 in certain situations, and it was important to him. The recent loan attempts do suggest just that (Buonanotte, Buendia, Wilson). All can play the 10 role. I dont think Hamer was available for loan, hence how that was nipped in the bud early on deadline day. I also dont think we were in for an out n out winger, hence not even trying for Solomon yesterday.
Ramazani was simply replaced by Okafor. He didnt want 5 wingers for 2 positions. And why would he, was tough enough keeping 4 happy last season.

It's just the way we did it with Wilson. Went for a loan and immediately told to fuck off.Rick wrote: ↑Tue Sep 02, 2025 12:34 pmI think the squad was pretty much complete for the 433 (in terms of positional depth). 4 wingers competing for 2 positions (like last season). 3 strikers competing for 1 position (like last season). If rumours are true, we offered £7 million, Fulham wanted 10 but we would not match it.
Once Buonanotte was of we should have lined up a couple of options.

Yeah whatever happened we failed to get Farke what he wanted, and shouldn't have been scrambling about on the last day again. Radio silence from the club suggests they know they botched up deadline day.Hampshirewhites wrote: ↑Tue Sep 02, 2025 4:35 pm

Oh they know. Marathe scheduled to be on TSB podcast on 13th of September when they’re in New Orleans. See what bullshit he comes out with. If he actually turns up.Rick wrote: ↑Tue Sep 02, 2025 8:21 pmYeah whatever happened we failed to get Farke what he wanted, and shouldn't have been scrambling about on the last day again.
