Seems DJ picked up a hamstring injury. Lad just can’t catch a break this season. Even more reason to stick with 3-5-2.

Makes you wonder, if most teams opt to utilize long throws now (which is basically playing percentages, and no doubt data driven/proven), why not do that in open play too?
The 352/532 is a very effective formation for gaining ground in the final third when you have 2 fuckers up there who can win balls. A bit of a throwback no doubt, but so are long throws. It's basically just getting the ball in the oppo box as much as possible and letting probability do its thing.
This formation is actually much cheaper/easier to build a competitive squad for at this level. Would cost us north of £100m to recruit a bunch of wingers to match the quality of the majority of squad's wingers in this league. None of ours are currently good enough.
It may be the best approach for us to achieve consolidation over the next couple of seasons, as the squad is already suited to it in comparison to other approaches.
I'm no tactico or awt. Just the musings of someone with a very basic understanding of the game trying to apply common sense. Especially looking at that second half v Man City. No-brainer to set up like that Wednesday.

Guardian article today doing the rounds stating Farke is gone if we lose next 2 home games, according to "senior figures" at the club. Also states he has sympathy among some in the boardroom who believe results have not reflected performances.
Sounds like he's on very thin ice, his sacking not unanimously approved as of yet, but defeats in the next 2 would seal it. According to this article anyway.

It was rumoured he had 5 games including forest. True, though that was also rumoured to be a point-per-game. This seems to be suggesting just avoiding 2 defeats for these next 2.Hampshirewhites wrote: ↑Mon Dec 01, 2025 8:37 pmIt was rumoured he had 5 games including forest. Whats the point really? Its like the long walk film, he’s getting shot at some point whats point in delaying the inevitable, just get rid. Saying that, he’ll get sack in February because they haven’t the knackers to make the nasty decision.
