Depends on your definition of surplus. If you’re talking big bucks then you’re eating into what probably is considered part of the squad.
Meslier - probably be a loan, drops clangers. Bamford, wages too high, last year of contract, probably a loan. Gelhardt, did ok but probably a loan. Greenwood, might command a fee but it’d probably struggle to scrape 7 figures.

Pretty easy to replace with a loan, probably towards end of the window when squads are more finalised and players become available.
