Encouraging for first time in a year we actually looked like a football team.
Goals will come

Re: MDT: FA Cup: Fulham v Zebbys Leeds
Shearer hit the nail on the head when looking to quantify our bad luck/wastefulness in front of goal - "they've not got enough belief"
Hopefully that'll come with a manager who looks to be trying to ease the panic the Yank Clown infected us with... but if it doesn't start happening soon its gunna become harder & harder as the pressure, & desperation, builds
Individuals wise tonight, Willy looked a bit like too much on his shoulders
Adams dropped below his great standards with toooo many wayward passes
Rutter shows promise - but isn't looking like where £30m should've been spent
Jimmy took a few too many touches on a couple of occasions but looked a threat & always positive
JH - some great play & good balls, paired, as ever, with some horrific wastefulness, overplay & snatching at things that a top level player should be able to control
Koch - beginning to look moreconfident & capable
Ayling - having a renaissance
Even Firpo is hinting that maybe, JUST MAYBE, he is a footballer after all
Need to get a big win & we'll be up & away i reckon (...hopefully)

We looked far better than under Jesse. Just some poor passing and finishing. Rasmus is wank. The 3 of Mckennie, Roca and Adams struggled in this formation. We’ll beat Chelsea.

Pretty much this. McKennie doesn’t suit the 10 role. Well definitely create chances against Chelsea. Whether we finish them or not is a different matter.Yeboahs left foot wrote: ↑Tue Feb 28, 2023 10:18 pm We looked far better than under Jesse. Just some poor passing and finishing. Rasmus is wank. Firpo busting a gut to race back on a Fulham counter and then be the man to block the shot was superb.
He's looking a different player recently.

Would like to see us play with 2 up top; think Rutter would be a different player if he wasn't the only one trying to win and hold the ball up which he doesn't look strong enough for yet.
For that to happen Mckinnie or Roca need to step up though. Mckinnie looking fairly average to date

As soon as Bamford was coming on, guy next to me said he hoped Rutter was staying on. Nope.nzstevo wrote: ↑Wed Mar 01, 2023 12:04 am Would like to see us play with 2 up top; think Rutter would be a different player if he wasn't the only one trying to win and hold the ball up which he doesn't look strong enough for yet.
