It's more that the 49ERs likely don't want to spend more until it's their club 100%, especially with so many investors putting in.

Also they'd still have to deal with Radz if they did want to do anything until they have full control, which I'm sure they really don't want to do.

Which begs the question- why not sort a deal prior to end of season?
And in asking that I’m also asking which party didn’t want to come to the table regarding that? I can probably guess…

What I don't understand is why they released a load of names to Hay (Piroe, Hamer etc.) if the complications behind the scenes are currently preventing such deals. Seems rather uncharacteristic of them to raise expectations regarding incomings during all this apparent uncertainty.
