By reverting to type, which type do you mean? The type that had us scoring lots of goals for a couple of seasons in the Championship or the type that kept us up last year?
I do feel sorry for Farke with some of our fans although it seems most of those don’t actually attend games. No matter what he does, it ain’t good enough and never has been. He’s done everything his employers wanted. Got us up & kept us up.
Some still yearn for a Bielsa world where we flow forward and others are dying for us to pluck some hipster manager from obscurity who will suddenly turn us into a side challenging the top 6.
Names I’ve seen on a ‘wanted’ list this morning include Corberan, Pablo & Thiago Motta.
Second season up is notoriously difficult.
Sunderland are sticking to their guns with same set up as last and they’re not faring so well at minute.
And as for our squad Stoppy, 2/3s of it is decent, midfield & defence. Forward wise we’re threadbare. The rest of it still includes Nmecha, Brendy, Dan James. You know, the ones openly derided as not good enough. We’re overly reliant on Okafor staying fit. And any sort of injury to DCL doesn’t bear thinking about.
Would someone else get a better tune out of us? Maybe. But it’s not guaranteed is it? Could just as easily turn out worse.
Is there £££ in the kitty for January? Not sure tbh. And the new rules are pretty swift & brutal for any overspending.

You see things differently, sure you do, you’ll see things in ground and then again you’ll see things on TV with the benifit of replay etc etc.
I don’t go these days and doubt i could afford it if i was in UK but it doesn’t stop me seeing just how ineffective he is at game management. 1 down pushing for an equaliser “ oh i know Brenda is the answer” i’ve not been convinced by him from day 1 should have gone after play off no show, he’s done an average job in Champ with best team by a mile, resulted in us having to sell off our better players etc etc. We are going nowhere with him in charge, needs something else but we are all blaming Trafford for his fuck up yesterday but why put him in that position to start with. Tactics are down to 1 man and 1 man only.
As i said earlier, heading one way at moment, can Farke halt that ? I’m not convinced.
I was almost accepting he’d earned a new contract i’m certainly back to not having confidence in him.

Farke said in a recent interview he doesn't have the attacking players other teams do. Can see why he intends to win points through defensive solidity. Fuckin boring mind.Titman wrote: ↑Sun Nov 01, 2026 11:35 am By reverting to type, which type do you mean? Last season Okafor was our only attacking midfielder who looked like creating anything. Crocked/our of form now so no suprise the chances have dried up.
Could do with Wilson really stepping up. Was brilliant for first 30 mins yesterday.
Bohaya needs sending back in Jan and replacing with an attacker he'd intend to use.

Maybe the going to games thing came across wrong. And tbh I wasn’t meaning likes of yourself. I was more referring to a younger generation that follow us online.
I barely go these days. You’re right Sid, it’s downright expensive. Won’t have much change of 100 notes with ticket and a few jars.
I get the tactic of drawing the press to bypass it. But at end of the day it’s the players who execute that plan. Tanaka was caught on his heels as Trafford passed to him. We’re not the only ones who do it. So yes, Trafford has to shoulder the blame. Same as a striker who misses a sitter.

Okafor always seems a couple of games away from being injured. Probably why his price point was so low.Rick wrote: ↑Sun Nov 01, 2026 12:26 pmFarke said in a recent interview he doesn't have the attacking players other teams do. I know other managers use it but just makes no sense to me, always seems to be a mistake in the making. End of day only Farke makes that decision, it’s on him. If it brings about the afore mentioned mistakes then no one should be surprised. Yes players were at fault but imo should never have been put in that position in the first place.Titman wrote: ↑Sun Nov 01, 2026 12:30 pm Maybe the going to games thing came across wrong. Managers have imo worked out Farke, they know what he will do and know he’ll do little or nothing to change it until about 70 mins. Ah well a Resurgent Spurs next and with fat frank in with 2 other horrible fixtures Farke needs a bloody good result or he’s on thin ice again.
Re: AFC Bournville vs Zebbydog’s Almighty Leeds United
Sid, do you really think we had a better team that first season in Champo than second season?
Re: AFC Bournville vs Zebbydog’s Almighty Leeds United
There’s every chance whoever came in after him would use the same sort of play to draw out a press.Sid wrote: ↑Sun Nov 01, 2026 12:42 pmI know other managers use it but just makes no sense to me, always seems to be a mistake in the making. Re: AFC Bournville vs Zebbydog’s Almighty Leeds United
Losing the likes of Rutter, Archie, Jimmy etc certainly set us back a fair bit. Debatable if better but with additions we would certainly have been better placed than we ended up. I think we would be 2 seasons minimum in front of where we are today. Not sure that makes sense but i believe we suffered a massive set back due to the play off failure. ( Which we should not even have been involved in )
