Explains that one. Bijol was fine. Good that we have defensive options. Hopefully Rodon back in contention shortly. Shame we don’t really have the same sort of competition for a front 3. Really not sure about Wilson in the system we play. I can see why we’re being cautious over Bahoya. 10 appearances and we’re obligated to buy.
I thought Bahoya was option to buy?

Yeah defensively we're very strong. 6 conceded this season. Only Arsenal have conceded less. I think Okafor being out of form is an issue. DCL is doing fine but there's not much creativity. And yeah, £100k (iirc) a week for Wilson til he's 33 yrs old is looking a bit daft at this moment in time. Doesn't look particularly creative in his current role (whatever that is).

First heard about obligation (I thought it was optional as well) for Bahoya couple of weeks back. 10 appearances is quite a low bar. Need to be sure he’s more Okafor than Lamine Sahko. Guess that’s what you get with last minute dot com. His performances for France U21s gives some hope.

We’re solid but we aren’t going to blow the doors off too often.

Only real gripe I have is that Longstaff deserves more minutes

He does and he doesn't.
He's normally a 5 or 6 out of 10 with the occasional 7 or 8 performance.

We just don't have enough quality in the squad to play a much different side to the one that played 5 or 6 consecutive games.

We're playing catch-up after many many years out of the top flight and then poor finances when we were promoted under Bielsa followed by woeful inadequacies when Ted Lasso took the reins.

So as frustrating as Farke tactics are,,,, I think that overall we're doing alright...

Our scouts and youth development can and will have to accelerate our progress...
Choose life.

Spot on Begbie, I’d say we have a strong 14/15. Unfortunately we seem to suffer if more than a couple of the first 11 aren’t fit. Not going to lie but I do envy the likes of Bournemouth, Brighton & Brentford with their recruitment. And let’s not even get started on the upper echelons and their stockpiling.
