Is it possible to separate the pinned topics from the other general topics.
Because place had gone so slow i keep coming on seeing nothing much at top of discussion page and thinking nowt posted.
If the thread is a different colour its got a new post in it, click it, and it automatically goes to the new post, if not different colour, there is no new post.
any pinned thread will automatically be at the top whether a new post has been made or not.
do you understand now or shall i get the crayons out for you?
i do sometimes wonder what happens to people when they go live in other countries/cultures

If you go into the topic, mod button at the bottom (spanner), you can change them to Announcements. Pinned topics appear at the top of the topics list, Announcements appear in their own section.

Thanks for the reply, i’m obviously a lost cause, i’ve read that about 10 times and still have no idea what it means

Seriously you can't see any changes in any of the left hand side topics?
