‘If we can afford to’ referring to additions this window.

On Meslier: "He was disappointed with last performance. He is self-critical. I like this. He is a 24yo man, who came as teen, always loyal to club, during interest in him. Stayed to pay something back and win that trust back. Named as best goalkeeper in league last year."

Oh good he's self-critical and loyal and I'm glad to be reminded he's 24. This will all soften the blow next time he throws ball in his own net.

Just hope next time he fucks up the fans direct their anger at Farke and the board because they're to blame. It's not Meslier's fault he's incompetent.

You have to question where this loyalty is coming from. Surely our own analysts are saying ‘he’s shite’. We literally lead the board in every metric except one. And it’s now very, very glaring. So you have to wonder where our owners/investors are standing on this. We’ve got to top of the league despite Meslier but you have to wonder how long we can sustain that. If I’m an opposition manager I’m telling my team ‘get your shots away’. Every conceivable opportunity fire it at goal.

Thing is, put a half decent keeper in between the sticks and we probably have 5-8 more points. You may not be a fan of his style of football but it does yield results.
Sticking with Meslier, whether by his choice or the company line could cost big style. You had Kinnear bragging we’d turned down 10m for Meslier last summer. Why? No fucker in their right mind would sanction that. You cannot tell me that any serious DoF or scouting team would recommend him. Still think our owners are smoke & mirrors.

It’s a yield on results that in my opinion with a decent manager would have been higher even taking out of the equation the Points Meslier has cost us.
Meslier as i said needs taking out of the firing line, I feel farke should also follow. But you know that.
