Just looked at our senior transfers the year before Bielsa came.

Hadi Sacko, Grot, Cibicki, Weidwald, Anita, Ekuban, Ideguchi, De Bock, Madger Gomez, Roberts, Klich, Pontus, Alioski, Saiz, Forshaw

Last 5 can be considered decent signings. The rest are poor. Anything below a 50% strike rate will put you in trouble eventually. This cunt's way below that.

Abysmal when you look at that, apart from the last 4, I've excluded Forshaw.
Hernandez probably the best in the Championship.

Yeah i was in 2 minds to count Forshaw too. Been injured 80% of his time here.
The first 10 are shocking. It's like a minibus full of crap footballers.

Made 3 signings the following year, Kiko the clown and Barry Douglas who was bang avarage. Bielsa was the one who identified Bamford so....

In reality the lot of them were punts probably barring Forshaw. Did he have a history of injuries before he joined us?

Yep, Punts R Us.

Might be wrong ere but I vaguely remember researching Forshaw when we signed him and he'd had a handful of games the season before in the Prem with boro, but not injured, just on the fringes of the starting 11 there. Don't remember injuries being a concern among our fans when we signed him. Certainly no indication he'd be out for 5 years with a "knock"

Same with Roberts. We can really fuck them up.

And that’s sparked another thought.
Was thinking earlier when commenting on Rutter on Twitter…I wonder what his PA is on Football Manager. Roberts was one that always went on to do well in the game. I wouldn’t be in the least bit surprised to find out that Ortas signings are based on a game’s ‘potential ability’.

I reckon you might be onto summat. Can't envisage him watching loads of footage and scouting players that way. He wouldn't have a clue what's going on. Be like a dog watching Eastenders.

100% nailed on he’s checked up on what Cherno Samba is doing these days.
