Got to be better value in Europe for a number 9 and a 10. We seem to be pinning are number 10 hope's on Bundia. Farke apparently wants him but surely a lower prem club would be his first choice, if he leaves Villa.

Said it at start of window, if we can’t get deal for him done sharpish, move on. Don’t want to be hanging on till end of window and miss out completely because we did. But I think we’ve been here before..

Strikers, I guess it depends if Paddy goes (though how can he if he's injured?). Farke said in a recent presser Willy can play there if shit hits fan so doesn't seem to be much worry about it.

I think best case scenario is we pull a rabbit out of the hat from Europe. A young no.10 or striker perhaps. Surely we must have some on the radar.

A very big concern. We’d be taking for granted that the first half season trends will continue. No guarantees in that. And there’s no guarantees they would if we went on a shopping spree. Not so concerned about a #10. We tend to create enough as we are. Don’t get me wrong, wouldn’t turn down Buendia (that rumbles on) but feel the other 2 positions are no brainers. It’s due diligence.

Definitely cover our arses if we can do. No point a signing for sake of it. Not seen a player go to a promotion rival that would walk into this team.

Lets be honest and logical. Decent players will be hard to get and will only be released when replacements have been sorted unless we bully teams in this league or top of league 1.

Anyone in mind? I could only really think of Whittaker who would potentially improve us.
