To me this just indicates they're going with Piroe.

Strikers cost a fortune, only one can start for us, and Piroe is never injured. That's 2 now we've brought in on a free. Both with injury records too suspect to be considered reliable starters.

They've realised they can't attract their top CF targets, can't find a guaranteed improvement on Piroe, and thought it's pointless pissing money away on back-up.

I expect we'll be more aggressive in our pursuit of a winger etc. now and we now know exactly what's left in the kitty.

I'd be fine with Solomon, El Khannouss and full-back cover.

There’s always been a chance we go back in for him after last season. My big concern is that we now see his price jump. Think I’d go to 20 for him. But we’re seeing some ridiculous prices being quoted for players like Muniz & Fernandes.
The prices of players currently in Premier League or with experience of are generally extortionate.
I'd be more than happy if we continued to look to Germany for recruitment.
Why Germany over perhaps Spain or others, Germany got a good Rep? Just curious like.
Farke and his backroom staff being German.
Plus any helpful assistance that Red Bull that give, may as well get something useful out of them...

The loan market potentially opens up more at the back end of the window.
I'd take Solomon on a loan only as I'm not entirely convinced by him.
El Chapo may well be a waiting game to avoid overpaying.

If the value isn't there then we're under no obligation to spend our entire budget whatever that may be.

Piroe was always going to be first choice for me.
If we get the service to him then quite simply he will score goals all day long.

Agree he'll score if we create chances for him, and we are going to need to take our chances this season. His overall game has improved too imo. Deserves a shot.

I dont think Piroe was always going to be first choice though. I doubt we were bidding big bucks for Muniz to come play second fiddle to Piroe.

I see. From all the strikers we were linked with by credible sources, I'd probably only choose Muniz over Piroe. That Dovbyk looks like a block of wood to me.

Similar with Solomon really. Id have taken Paixao or that Argie over him. The other links a tad underwhelming.

Never heard of him but he does look pretty interesting after a bit of digging.

6'1" so quite a unit for a winger. Looks quick and strong from youtube clips. Ok pedigree too, 24 CL games with 8 direct goal involvements. Impressive numbers in the Austrian Bundesliga (welder's league, granted). 42 direct goal involvements in 71 appearances. The numbers seem to have dried up a fair bit in Italy which is the concern but he's still relatively young. Turned 25 this summer (only a year older than Ramazani).

I guess like most of the wingers we've been linked with, potential is there but he's a risk. Would prefer the Argie.
