Can't be much to talk about. Been negotiating for weeks now so we must know what the deal will entail by now.

Only reason I can see not to sign him yet is they were maybe more keen on another Premier League defender but on loan. You'd think if we wanted Phillips badly we'd have done it by now.

A Twitter account Romano follows says we've had a bid accepted for Greek international CB Pantelis Chatzidiakos, from AZ Alkmaar.

Around £2.5m. Pursuit has been "open" for 15 days according to the article.

Unless it costs £££

With that deal I don't get the impression the financials are an issue.

Really? Then why’s it not done? What’s the excuse?

We’re now down to 2 recognised CBs. Told that we’re going to ‘love the way they do business’. Well so far I don’t. They say fuck all. Leave it all on the managers head. I don’t want some Italian midget lauding a signing that hasn’t got on a plane but I would like some fucking honesty. Is that too much to ask? Really?

That’s not me having a go at you Schwantz, just frustrated at the silence from the club. Don’t get me wrong, there’s times when it’s good and times when it’s not. I find them lacking in communication these last few weeks but quite happy to slap themselves on the back and parade another fucking golfing/basketball investor.

I think their eyes are elsewhere.

I don't doubt he's on our list but I'd wager he's behind Harwood-Bellis and others in the order.

He's described by many as great in the air and strong but slow. That may be a worry to Farke if we're shelling out £10m on a player that will get murdered by pace.

And yet it’s been out there for the last 2 weeks what it takes for a Harwood-Bellis deal? Football is football, money talks. End of.
