I can only assume that the club still retains hope of getting £££ for Meslier. Remember when Kinnear tried claiming we’d turned down 10m for him?
Because nobody in their right mind is going to have him as their #1.
His last season in the Prem basically ruled out all suitors from Europe's top leagues, so either a lower division club found £10m or Kinear is full of shit.
As it stands, I doubt any Championship club would take him for £1m, not after this season.
I’m not surprised. Said it would happen and unfortunately keeping farke could well be coming home to roost.
We should have signed a keeper in January full stop.
But doesn’t matter who the manager is, for whatever reason, our players haven’t turned up today.
I’ve aired my views so won’t go over it again but It’s farkes job to get them prepared, his job to react during the game and change the tactics. He does neither as far as i can see.
I’ve backed Meslier down the years but the 2 goals today were mostly if not totally down to him. Needs getting shot.
On to next game and let’s see what happens i guess.

The same Kinnear who claimed we turned down a 10 million bid for Joseph.

The Joseph bid was reported both here and in Spain late January. The Meslier thing is bizarre. If someone offered us what we paid, I’d snap their hands off. Reckon he leaves here in summer for a pittance/goes on loan for last year of his deal.
