49ers were after him before they brought Farke in, but he declined iirc as was already with Uruguay.

Surely if he becomes unemployed and Farke gets sacked they'd approach him again. Lot of ifs mind. Plus he's 70 now. Pretty old.

Would love him back though. Squad isnt great but much better than the one he had in his last season with all the injuries. Was relying on the likes of Lewis Bate some weeks.

If it was my club/ Business i’d put MB in as football director, responsible for everything football based with him picking his staff to take charge of things. That would at least give us football people looking after football side of things. Other board members can do other stuff like build a new west stand, bus stops, train stations etc.

Should've been the plan all along. Let him consolidate us as a Prem club, then make him director of football.

Sadly they ignored him when he said the squad needed freshening up and scapegoated him when he proved to be right.

He’s called one of his impromptu pressers for tonight. Like the post spygate one where we all shit ourselves he was quitting.

What I will add, is that it would a first (I think) if he joined a club mid season.

Sadly I think it’s wishful thinking.

PSR being replaced by SCR (Squad Cost Ratio) & SSR (Sustainability & Systemic Resilience).

No, I don’t know the ins & outs but I do know we voted against it. For full understanding I’d recommend giving next weeks episode of Price of Football podcast with Kieran Maguire a listen. It’s usually out Tuesday/Wednesday.

Whatever it is, it'll just be corruption dressed up as summat else.

That's all anything is these days, from sports stuff to government policies and anything in-between.

Or maybe I'm just a cynical fool. Cant be ruled out.

Just for clarity, the 6 clubs who voted against (SCR) were us, Brighton, Brentford, Fulham, Palace & Bournemouth. The SSR passed unanimously.
