That was really poor……
It’s because he’s a decent striker who works extremely hard which enables others. Just a shame he’s struggling/struggled to get any form built up whatsoever due to the injuries he’s had. Appreciate he’s probably done because of the injuries but if he can get back to peak fitness then his confidence will come. He’s less pressure now with Piroe too. Think Bielsas training was probably too intense but then he went to more or less doing fuck all and probably unfit under Marsch, other guy who I’ve forgotten the name of and Fat Sam which has fucked him again.Rick wrote: ↑Sun Sep 03, 2023 3:27 pm Some kind of combo of Bamford and Piroe would certainly be better than Rutter stood up top like a tit.
Only problem there is, despite us finally signing a striker, we're still relying on Bamford to be fit. Not ideal. I'd prefer Farke to find a more reliable solution. Gray or Kamara in the 10/advanced 8 or something? Dunno if that would work, just thinking off the top of my head.
Saying all that, I remember being a kid when my dad took me to first game of the season at home v Derby. We'd lost Hasselbaink that summer. Game ended nil nil. We just couldnt break them down. Fans got very frustrated, much like yesterday, made worse by Derby fans singing "where's you're Jimmy gone,?". But that season turned out to be brilliant. We found solutions. Michael Bridges surprised everyone that season.
We have the players to find a solution, one of the best squads in the league and its still early days. Season starts after the international break for me.
Oh aye, a fully fit and confident Paddy would be absolutely ideal. Stranger things have happened I guess. Though I don't even know why he's out this time. Got a kick to the head and went down holding his leg, hasn't been seen since. I can't even be arsed researching when he'll be back anymore .Yeboahs left foot wrote: ↑Tue Sep 05, 2023 6:00 pm

Think he pulled/tore his hammy when he flicked his head back and had his leg stretched behindRick wrote: ↑Tue Sep 05, 2023 6:19 pmOh aye, a fully fit and confident Paddy would be absolutely ideal.
