And we still don’t know the extent of how much we need to find to continue paying off our transfer debts this summer. But I doubt a single player sale (like Tanaka) will cover it.

And Sid, I totally agree. Very few of them are Prem standard.
No doubt we'd take decent money for the players I mentioned, I just can't see us being offered decent money. Gnonto hasn't played enough to get his big move, neither has Ram. James' ceiling is probably viewed as top end Championship by most suitors, and doubt a top division club will have a pop at Piroe considering his lack of mobility.

Unless a relegated club decides to spend a wedge of parachute payments on one of these 4 I can't see them leaving.

I'd expect the money we generate will be from selling Tanaka and a couple others perhaps.
Just catching up on this, i think quite telling that we all seem to believe Gnonto, Ram are right up there but as you point out have hardly featured. Madness given the issues we have.

There doesn't seem to be much of a meritocracy here.

Meslier plays no matter what. Aaronson gets run into the ground even after games he's looked useless (which is a fuckin lot of em).

Willy was dropped earlier in the season for what Farke described as "a dip in form". OK, fair enough. Drop Solomon now then cos he's done fuck all recently. Doubt he will mind. As for Ramazani, was statistically one of the best wingers in the league before injury. Now he looks too rusty to have an impact as Farke has hardly used him.

The fact we're 39 games in and he's only just started talking about trying other options in the no.10 role is mind boggling.

Said on here way back Willy at 10, if i csn see it why can’t a highly paid manager or his staff? Asked many a time wtf is our Gk coaching doing, can go on. Bit of a theme.

From the Athletic:

Inevitably, especially during the transfer window, conversations were had between Farke and Marathe about Meslier. "How serious a problem is this?", "will this be the difference between promotion and failure?", "can we help you by getting a new stopper in the transfer market?".

Fuck me if this is true, seems it's solely on Farke for this current Meslier situation, and dropping Mes would basically be admitting to the board he was wrong at the crunch time of the season.

On Saturday I guess we're gonna find out either way just how stubborn this guy is.

I’m not sure what’s more disturbing. The (supposed) fact that he didn’t want another keeper OR the fact that someone from the club has leaked this…

Especially considering how quiet things have been since 49ers took over. Journos not even been given scraps.

If his name is on the team sheet Saturday it’ll be like the air being sucked out of the proverbial room across the fanbase. Enough is enough surely.

Fwiw though I honestly think he will.

First signs of a disconnect between ownership and Farke?
