According to the BBC we offered £33m with £6m in add-ons. But Wolves are holding out for £40m. Doesn't seem that far apart.

Be stupid of Wolves to keep him til summer and sell for less. Makes no sense. They're probably waiting on the Palace/Mateta situation.

From what i’m told he’s not worth anything like that. I personally don’t know much about him but clan keep telling me he’s awful, Can’t even get a place in team and getting kept out by whang chan ( who is also shite) or what ever his name is.

That does seem to be the general consensus among Wolves fans.

Though his numbers are impressive.

16 goal involvements in 37 La Liga appearances 23/24 season.

18 goal involvememts in 35 Prem appearances 24/25 season.

Gone off a cliff this season mind. But then again their whole squad has. Who knows what's going on there behind the scenes. Club are in freefall. He might just be tossing it off waiting for his way out.

Last season when he scored 14 he was. Think he got the hump when they turned down Newcastle 55m and saw likes of Cunha & Ait-Nouri go. Downed tools? Maybe? Demotivated? Definitely.

All we can do is judge him in a Leeds shirt if he arrives.

Everton fans said similar about DCL, disinterested donkey etc. Look at him now. A leader in the changing room and prolific.

Optimistic this gets done. If we can do that and get cover for Gabby it’ll have been a good window.

Paraphrasing what I've read elswhere here but if we've offered £33m + £6m in addons and they want £40m it's probably just a matter of agreeing on the structure of the deal.

It's defo in Wolves interest to come to an agreement, regardless of their bullshit "we dont need to sell this window" stance.

Either way, they ain’t getting 40 for him if they go down
