Skipp on loan, Rodon and £30m ish for Archie is smart business.
Are you mental! Can’t you see we are selling a 40m player and replacing him with cheaper options! We are weaker than we were this time yesterday and it’s only getting worse
Time will tell whether we will be stronger/weaker come August, but that Archie deal makes a lot of sense. Alleviated this year's PSR concerns (from what I've read) and got Rodon back. If we're doing things that make sense it bodes well for the summer.
A lot will depend on what happens with Summerville. Though from what I've read the funds from his sale would now go straight towards a warchest. Now imagine if he did go and we did an Archie-esque job getting someone like Carvalho (for example) as part of the deal, then a few million spent on Miller and O'hare on a free. Summerville obvs a big miss but we'd have great attacking depth at this level and more balance than last season, and that's with funds left over to embelish the squad further. All a bit Football Manager on my part I know, but just an example of what's possible.

No sell on clause though. Fuck me.
Not ideal, though most sell on clauses are a percentage of profit these days (when investing a huge sum on potential), so if they sell him for £60m and we had a 20% sell on clause we'd only make £4m or so from it. Not ideal but not a big issue imo. We've still done very well out of this deal with £30m plus Rodon.

We aren’t going to be weaker in have faith they know what they are doing, not worried about a lack of sell on clause either it means very little in the grand scheme of things.
The outpouring on twitter saying Eddie and his family deserve better is pathetic it’s clear they had a release clause in the contract and footballs a business these days. They have used Summerville for the new images of the training kit so read into that what you will

Last Summer certainly suggests they know what they're doing, the squad rebuild was excellent considering all the obstacles faced.
Aye I don't bother with social media much these days, the hyperbole is just insufferable and boring, not just regarding leeds but any topic
Interesting regarding Summerville. Suggests to me at the very least that he's not currently anywhere close to leaving.

Thing is, no matter what AG could say no thanks to a move. Simple as.
True but very unlikely imo. Sounds to me like he was up for going to Brentford (if reports are true he was on route for a medical). Seems this is just a Spurs hijack which suits us more and so off he goes there.
I think players just go if they're told an offer has been accepted 99% of the time. If it's one club off they go. If it's multiple their agents just direct them to whoever is offering the biggest wages. Leeds probably rejected the Brentford offer after the Spurs bid came in because they wanted Rodon so didn't want him negotiating with both clubs.

So all the “ It’s upset the dynasty” is not quite as it seems? He could have said no thanks? Money talking i guess?

I think fans need to realise when becoming a multimillionaire overnight, sentiment is an afterthought. Not just with Gray but with anyone.
Yeah I'm sure he'd rather make that money with Leeds, but we're not in the position to and he could have a career ending injury before we are. Nobody in their right mind would turn this move down.
His family will be organising a congratulations party for him as we speak.

I’m just going on what i’ve seen else where. Everyone going off on one about the club selling him/ pushing him out when he doesn’t want to go, upsetting the family and his brother also going to leave because of it.
Not sure what reality is but by fuck reactions are OTT.
