I like him. Very good defensively. The notion he's as good/better than Phillips was always complete nonsense though.

Adams is not even in same league as Phillips on their best days. He’s a destroyer. Batty was labelled the same and for a while that’s what he did. But Batty could play. Is Adams better at getting ‘in and around’ opposition than Phillips. Yeh I’d say so. But passing isn’t his game.
