If i was a major contributing member of the new ownership investment syndicate i’d be wanting my investment to grow. Continuous improvement and structure, no lurching from crisis to crisis. Our new overlords lack of knowledge of football to me would suggest a considerable structure would be needed to look after what after all is one hell of an investment.

I’d be breaking the bank on Bielsa, not as manager but as director of football. Responsible for all aspects of the club. ( old style manager plus) He’d pick the manager, work on the squad via transfers, sort out the academy, even an input on any ground development, the lot top to bottom. A proper football man in charge, not an investor, not an owner playing manager and not a chancer playing football manager looking after the team or recruitment.
If Bielsa a no go, someone of his like, We need a structure to develop this club, we are so far behind we need to play catch up and bloody quickly. I fear the current board have left it too late in acting and we may well be back to starting from 2nd division but at least with new investment and parachute payments, last thing we want though is to then get promoted and undo all the good work previously done as this crowd have done in throwing away Bielsa’s legacy of the previous seasons.
Onwards and upwards anyway, can’t have got much lower than that of this last 12 months.
Bielsa as overlord sounds a great idea.
Never heard of Andoni Iraola but he was Bielsa's captain at Bilbao. Ideal pairing?
Read this.

He'd be awesome I think;

Marcelo rated him. That's enough for me.

I hope Ange stays in Scotland and finishes the job, ie. Take Celtic past the group stages of the CL.
Massive gamble for me. Blew his only big job.

Championship may be his level. We can do better.

Didn’t he say something similar after Leipzig gave him the boot?
He's already been saying before the sacking that the players aren't understanding things or words to that effect.

It's pretty damning when the same happened at Leipzig. That was my biggest worry when he was rumoured and he's I voiced it a lot and probably bored folks like Tex to death with it, but it's only because I wanted better fot the club.

Listening to TSB yesterday after the match, and I thought in places like Austria where you're at the biggest club in the country and expected to win, creating a stress-free environment and just letting the players express themselves is probably a pretty good tactic because your players are better than the rest..... at a club in the lower half of the most competitive league in the world you actually have to coach them, and he just doesn't have it in him.

And I don't want Corberon necessarily... it's the same as in October... I just don't get why everyone's so off him.

Didn't Eddie Howe go and fail at Burnley in between stints at Bournemouth, and look at him now.

I'd argue that 2nd-last to 6th in just over 2 months if pretty fucking impressive.

Same at Huddersfield. Relegation fodder to one win from promotion.

The Spanish dude sounds pretty fucking cool, though.

Admire your stamina.
Couldn't abide listening to him.

Aye they're one of the teams I follow on the One Football app.

Home record is ridiculously good.

If we're talking a long term project which is what is being suggested, then an Iraola type (preferably him though) makes a LOT of sense.

Would love to see what he could potentially do with our current squad and then be backed in summer.
