People forget how young Meslier is.Fev wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2024 2:12 pmi love Mez, will serve us well, people forget all the points he saves us every season, not at fault for any of those goals other night.Jay wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2024 6:16 am Think I’m the last remaining Leeds fan who really likes Meslier. He’s lost a fuck load of confidence but he’s an insane shot stopper at times. He’s dodgy on crosses I find but as an overall keeper I like him.
Could serve us for many many years to come if he can get some of that first season or two quality back.
Thank fuck we are back Leeds United vs Swan-pee city

Sure i read manc shitty are looking at bringing delap back via a clause to buy back? Is that correct?Rick wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2024 7:02 am Sooner have a keeper who's solid in all departments than one who's exceptional at some things and poor at others.
Probably is potential there but it's been years now since his impressive breakthrough.
If we do go up, first 3 priorities should be a new keeper, no.10 and striker.
Regarding strikers I think folk on here were right about Joseph and I was getting carried away with him. Hasn't looked quite ready really.
If we go up I'd be keeping a close eye on Liam Delap (if Ipswich are relegated), and Evan Ferguson at Brighton who isn't getting game time.
Dunno about no.10s but Aaronson is never prem level. Seen some chatter about McAtee but can't say I know much about him.
Anyway, I'm digressing.
Floppy haired yank is too soft,
Meslier and his short comings surely come down to coaching, decent keeper coach would soon sort that and be much better way of spending a smaller amount i would think.
Think Joseph will develop with more game time.

Not sure the exact details about Delap, but the Ipswich forum seem to think Man City have a buy back clause of £30m. I guess if he carries on scoring this season and hits 15+ goals he'll be worth much more, so Man City could actually just buy him and flip him for a tidy profit. Basically Ipswich fans not happy with how low the clause is rumoured to be.
